Animal Liberation Conference 2019

Take action. Learn from experts. Make connections. Save Lives.

The Animal Liberation Conference is the largest grassroots animal rights conference in the world. It is the best place to learn from experts in open rescue, bearing witness, disruption and community organizing, meet incredible activists from around the world, take part in high-impact actions and vigils, and empower yourself to be the best activist you can be. Previous attendees have called the conference “the best week of the year!”

All are welcome, including those new to activism and veganism. You must register to attend.

WHEN: May 29-June 4, 2019

WHERE: Various locations around the UC Berkeley campus in Berkeley, CA.

REGISTRATION: Register here:

Where do I get more information? Unfortunately, Facebook does not allow us to update this event page regularly, so please check out or email

How much does it cost? Online registration has three price options available to make the conference more accessible to everyone: the regular registration fee, expected to cover your costs at the conference; a lower registration fee recommended for people attending only 1-2 days of the conference or people who would struggle to pay the regular registration fee; and sponsor level registration, which covers your costs and the costs of another attendee who would otherwise be unable to attend. For these minimum costs, you’re getting a week’s worth of events, tons of free meals, a shirt, and more! Waiving is available for low-income attendees, and kids under 12 are free. We do not make money off the event, but we hope to break even. To see these different prices, please visit:

Are kids welcome? Yes! We ask that kids also fill out the registration form. There is no registration fee for kids 12 and under.

Do I need to book a hotel? You will need to find housing for yourself, whether that be in a hotel, Airbnb, or with a local activist. You can find more information about housing here:

Is this the first time this conference has been held? No, this is the 6th year, and the 2nd year after being rebranded as the Animal Liberation Conference. Before that, the conference was called the DxE Forum.

When will I get more details about the event? Once you register, you will receive periodic emails with updates, so please check your email!
