January Meeting – Green Party of Chicago

The Green Party is a grassroots party! Our local chapters are where the action happens, and where party decisions are made.
Join us at our first meeting of 2018 to learn more about the Green Party and to discuss its plans for the year. Agenda items will include:
– 10 Key Values exercise: discuss how Green Party principles are (and aren’t) being supported in your neighborhood
– 2017 summary and 2018 membership survey results: learn where we were last year, and where we’re going this year
– Strategy & action groups brainstorming session: open discussion on plans and projects for 2018
– Opening of 2018 officer elections: learn what the local chapter positions are! Nominations will be open for a month, ending with a vote at the next chapter meeting.
– Upcoming events, actions, and trainings: learn about your Chicago opportunities!
In addition, we’ll hear updates on Green Party campaigns and candidates in the Chicago area — and of course, there will be refreshments, socializing, and plenty of time to meet-and-greet.
If you’ve never been to a Green Party meeting in Chicago before, the first of the year is a great one to start with. Stop by the Bezazian Branch Library (1226 W Ainslie) on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 10:00pm and meet your fellow Greens!
